Good Morning Monday!!!!!

Wow the last two weeks have been crazy at the Fennema house.  DeWaynes' sweet mother Pearl passed away on April 7th.  She was living in California (long story), so we had to have her body shipped back to SLC , where she was to be buried with her sweetheart Harry.  After long distance plans with family and a lot of confusion as to what was wanted by the other siblings, DeWayne and I put together a lovely service and burial for her.  Anyway, services are over, family is gone, and we are finally back to normal (whatever normal is).  I wanted to share a couple of things that I was able to finish up this weekend.

I have been wanting to finish this up for a few weeks.  I finished mine and made one for each of my daughters.   So so fun to make.  I love wood and paper projects!!!!! 

I do a swap with a group of CTMH ladies and it was due during all of the funeral confusion.  I finished up the design this weekend and will be finishing it up hopefully by Wednesday so I can get them in the mail Thursday morning.

Art Tip! This project uses many Cricut^® shapes and all the pieces coordinate so nicely for an adorable finished product. Use the Artiste assembly booklet to put the bag together and then add the embellishments. The feathers are created with punched circles that are stamped using the kissing technique; however, if you don’t have the circle punch, you can easily make these using the Cricut as well. The eyes were created using Shimmer designer brads, but you can use any large brad or button to create the same look. Finish with the “owl miss you sentiment” for a special touch.

APRIL WORKSHOP!!!!

Wow where is the time going?  This year is just flying by.  I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter and are ready for some nice spring weather.  I love the smell in the air and the flowers and trees blooming.

It is time for the April Workshop.  This month we will be creating two layouts and 2 cards.  I decided to use the Later Skater paper packet.  I love the rich and vibrant blues and greens in this paper packet.  It is more of a masculine paper but I wanted to show how you could make it feminine also, hence the two cards and layouts!!!!
